January 2026- TAMHI Invitational League

Today is a bittersweet day.

On one hand so much elation and happiness, and on the other sadness as it’s come on the back of a loss of a service.

Tamhi Tackling Awareness of Mental Health Issues is so grateful that the over 35s/40s former Emerge Invitational league will now be the TAMHI invitational League.

It sadly comes on the back of the closure of Emerge Counselling Services, an outstanding charity that saved lives but sadly fell victim to budget cuts.

We have always linked with the league sharing information and resources and where extremely grateful to Gary and the committee for asking us would be the charity involved as it’s primary focus is mens mental health.

It was huge honour and we will be grasping it with both hands to do what we can to engage the men (by NI statistics most vulnerable to risk of suicide) in awareness raising.

It kicks off today and we cannot wait to see TAMHI, Text Teammate and mental health awareness pop up across teams and clubs and make even more of a difference.
